Our Belief:
Rights Beyond the Screen
The internet is no longer just a tool; it is a core part of childhood, shaping how children learn, play, and form their identities. We believe that the traditional language of “cyber safety” is no longer enough to address the complex realities of platform influence and online harms.
Every child deserves a digital space built on dignity, privacy, and protection, as recognized under the UNCRC. Rather than relying on fear or surveillance, we advocate for equipping parents and mentors with empathy and capacity building to truly understand and support children’s digital lives.
Making a Difference
Policy Leadership
We host India's first national dialogues, like Infantia and Juventica, bringing together UNICEF and law enforcement to rethink digital safety through empathy and agency.
Child-Friendly Policing
Through Project SafeNet, we train officers to decode youth digital culture—including lingo and viral trends—to spot harms and enforce laws with a child-first perspective.
Art for Advocacy
We use theatre and poetry, such as the plays Dear Parents and Nayi Reet, to help families navigate modern digital dilemmas through impactful storytelling.
Our Impact
Empowering Law Enforcement
Trained over 2,000 police personnel in child-friendly digital policing and identifying online harms like grooming and sextortion.
Supporting Caregivers
Conducted online wellbeing and digital parenting awareness sessions for more than 3,000 parents.
Equipping Educators
Engaged over 2,700 teachers through "Safe Circuit," a program focused on trauma-informed pedagogy and student digital behavior.
Leading Policy Dialogue
Hosted two National Conclaves in a single year, leading critical research and policy conversations with civil society and law enforcement

Vision
Every half a second, a child steps into the online world.
With one in three internet users being a child, it’s crucial to acknowledge that the internet wasn’t initially designed with their needs in mind. This oversight has created a significant gap that PIIR is dedicated to addressing. Our vision is to ensure that children’s rights are fully recognized and protected in the digital age.
